Crystal Armstrong, M.A., Resident in Counseling
Crystal received her Master of Arts in Counseling from Eastern Mennonite University in 2015. Crystal’s emerging areas of interest include working with persons struggling with anxiety, depression, transitions in life, grief/ loss, self-esteem, and persons who have moved migrated to the United States. Crystal also has a particular interest in working with children and families affected by Autism and related disorders as well as other disabilities. Crystal uses art and expressive modalities in her work to support self exploration and empowerment and strives to include a multicultural framework into her work. Her areas of expertise include behavioral challenges, self/interpersonal growth, depression, anxiety, communication disorders, Autism and issues related to disability. As a disabled person herself, in her work she uses collaboration and creativity to best meet each individual person where they are in their journey. During the last several years, Crystal has worked with children through play therapy both individually and in the school setting, families in crisis, and individuals using attachment-based psychotherapy. Crystal speaks Spanish and enjoys traveling.
