For children, we have a strong foundation in play therapy and believe in the therapeutic value of play.
For couples, we are influenced by Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and the work of the Gottman Institute.
Youth Considered “At-Risk”
For youth who are considered “at-risk,” we seek to name potential while recognizing the significant obstacles which exist in a child or adolescent’s life.
Children and Families
For children and families, we are particularly interested in supporting parents in meeting the needs of their children, needs which are often masked by confusing and challenging behavior.
We seek to be a vibrant community agency which offers counseling, training, and consulting by joining with others in support of healthy human relating. Our vision includes an organizational ethic that seeks to create micro and macro relationships grounded in trust, kindness, and authenticity.
We provide person-centered mental health services that affirm human dignity.
To this end, our work is culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, attachment focused, and strengths-based. We integrate a multisystemic perspective in service of the interpersonal neurobiological nature of human relating recognizing that mental health consists of an intersubjective, relational experience of mind that is flexible, adaptive, coherent, energized, and stable.
